  The HCC Hawks volleyball team has won the Sun Coast Conference title for the second consecutive year, by beating Pasco Hernando Community College on October 15th. To win the title, the Hawks didn’t only have to beat P.H.C.C. but they had to hold them to 66 points.

The rain may have washed off the red and black face paint on tailgaters at the Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys season opening game Sunday Sept. 13, 2009, but inside Bucs fans were still bleeding red and black.  Despite the rain showers, parking lots were covered with fans showing their diehard dedication for the Tampa Bay Bucs.

The men’s basketball team has been training and practicing hard to prepare for the upcoming season.  Faisal Aden, sophomore, who plays guard, feels the team must work together in order to achieve their goals.   “As a team, we’ve got to get better every day,” said Aden.

  From exams to term papers, attending college is often stressful, so it’s important for students to take a break from all their hard work and have some fun when the opportunity arises. Sports are an excellent way to do this, and many students at HCC are taking part.
