Alex Suarez is a Contributing Writer for The Hawkeye.

Alex Suarez was born in Boston in 1984. Suarez moved to Vermont in 1990. In 1995, Suarez published his first article, "Bullying at Putney Central School” in the Brattleboro Reformer in Vermont.  At Middlebury Union High School, Suarez was in the Model UN. In 2002, Suarez moved to Peru for two years. In 2005, Suarez entered Miami Dade College where he was a recruiter for the SGA and wrote for The CatalystIn 2006, Suarez moved to Spain to study languages. From 2011-2012, Suarez took part in the Occupy Wall Street movement. In 2013, he wrote a book on the experience, “Solidarity Forever? The Struggle of an Occupier”. In 2014, he wrote “The Unfinished Revolution”. He also wrote for Latin Times Magazine. Suarez is currently majoring in Media at HCC.
