College students have enough expenses without adding in the extra splurge of shopping. But as fashion lovers know, having the urge to change up your wardrobe is a constant occurrence while also always wanting to keep up with the latest trends. If you haven’t yet discovered the magical world of thrift stores allow me to open up a whole new world for you.

Thrift store and consignment shops have seen a vast increase in sales over the years and with everyone pinching pennies, it is no surprise. Instead of going to the mall for a new pair of jeans and spending $40.00 plus dollars, you can head to the local Goodwill and find a pair for $10.00 bucks. While shopping at thrift stores take your time to ensure you have seen everything. You never know what brands you could be passing up on.

Thrift Store Runaway is a fashion blog that promotes thirfting, their motto, “Million Dollar Looks. Fifty Dollar Budgets.” Check this blog out to how these savvy shoppers create awe-inspiring outfits. Thrift Stores carry everything from designer handbags to vintage dresses. Not only do they carry clothing but they also carry household goods, furniture, books, etc. Next time you want to go on shopping spree, start with the Goodwill or Salvation Army.
