Movie review: American Hustle
“American Hustle” is a new film by director David O. Russell. Russell is best known the Academy Award winning film “Silver Linings Playbook.”
“American Hustle” is set in the groovy 1970s, and follows two con artists, Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams) and Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale).
The con artists hatch a scam to put away several politicians and mobsters in the New Jersey area. The films is based on the FBI ABSCAM operations of the 1970s and 80s.
The story is a star-packed crime mystery with beautiful costumes and hilarious contributions from Jennifer Lawrence as Rosalyn Rosenfeld and Jeremy Renner as Mayor Carmine Polito.
As of Feb. 6, 2014, the film has earned $135,017,080.00 at the North American domestic box office for a total worldwide box office of $186,684,795.00.
The film continues to win awards such as Golden Globe 2013 Best Picture. Viewers will love “American Hustle,” and Amy Adams’ low cut dresses will motivate some viewers to see it again.

This movie seems like a faux version of an American gangster movie. Quite Frankly I am very tired of Jennifer Lawerence! Yet in this movie once again she brought some extra to the table. Not only her but Bradley Cooper did an amazing job.
